Set-Up
The Rain Chute
The rain chute is a guttering system used in heavy weather to take the rain out of the Tipi through the door or over the top of the smoke flap opening.
Having this operating means you can have a fire in heavy weather. Tie the rain chute on when tying the cover to the lifting pole about 6 cm down from the tie of the cover.
Leave the rain chute behind the lining until it rains so you have maximum light source. Then have a stick ready to push it up over the smoke flap and pull it through and peg outside. This allows a fire to be lit during rain.
